Reigns’ sport of choice was football which he played in his high school days, and he was even the Defensive Player of the Year before he enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology. When he joined, he became the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets captain and recorded twenty-nine tackles for loss and twelve sacks. However, he chose professional wrestling, leaving his football days behind.
