Channel 101 is a non-profit film festival organized by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab. Thanks to his numerous submissions to the festival, Justin Roiland attracted Dan Harmon’s attention. A series called House of Cosbys, which was about a fan living with a number of Bill Cosby clones was submitted by this guy. When the show was canceled, Roiland expressed his frustration by making a parody of Back to the Future, called “The Real Adventures of Doc and Mharti.” As you know, the rest is history.
