Things are changing at BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY), and apparently the pace is fast. The latest model the ‘Classic’ is making waves as Blackberry staggers its release across markets. The latest launch is the Philippines.
Nearly, written-off by financial experts, Blackberry has marked a turnaround in the last few months, which is telling. And much of the changes are due to strategic changes which have ensured the turnaround.
Heading the reasons for the turnaround are the latest versions released by the firm. The ‘Classic’ model continues to carry the undoubted elitist and aspirational stamp of the BlackBerry devices.
BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) QWERTY Design and Security
If the current craze for the latest smartphone is to be analyzed, the QWERTY keyboard is driving the demand.
The traditional design of the keyboard combined with advanced Security and Speed factors, which Blackberry has famously delivered in the past, appear to drive sales of the BlackBerry 10, the latest smartphone released by the maker.
MemoXpress Philippines Partner
BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has chosen Philippines player MemoXpress to launch its devices locally. The first of the models which MemoXpress will offer Filipinos is the BlackBerry Classic, on February 5, 2015.
MemoXpress Vice President Edward Tan remarked that, his company was happy to bring the Classic to the local market, as it delivered on two counts, first, a total mobile experience and second, productivity combined with communications.
BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has upgraded the Blackberry Bold 9900 will arrive with tripled browser speed, 60% larger screen space and nearly 50% more battery life.
Dual Appstore, Blend, Assistant and QWERTY
What people will love more about it, now, are the applications that they can download from BlackBerry World as well as Amazon’s AppStore. BlackBerry Classic, will include the latest OS release, version 10 3.1, the messaging feature Blend, and the voice-and-text Assistant. The irresistible combination of these factors is expected to see the Classic many more smartphone users to the Blackberry tribe in the Philippines!
