BlackBerry discusses camera modes in Classic

Classic camera will come with multiple modes such as Panorama, Time shift, Timer, HDR and Burst. The camera modes announced by Blackberry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) are not new and are already there on BlackBerry 10.3, but some of those will be new for the intended Classic user base that uses Bold 9900.

Classic’s multitude of inputs has been very specifically highlighted by Donny Halliwell at BlackBerry, who says, “you can snap a photo using the track pad, spacebar, mute key or by tapping an icon on the touch screen.”

The Classic device comes with significant improvements over Bold 9900 model, and has been built keeping productivity at priority. The browser has been improved greatly and other major improvement is in the camera.

Description of each

The device comes with an improved camera with several modes that were not available in the mid-range Blackberry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) devices. The modes have been described in the blog post as:

Panorama Mode: Panoramic photos can be easily and intuitively be taken on the new BlackBerry classic device. All that a user is required to do is activate the mode and capture the photo following simple steps.

Offline Time Shift Mode: this feature allows the user to choose from multiple pics from a series of photo burst and the perfect pic can be easily chosen.

Timer: BlackBerry Classic allows the user to take perfectly timed pics with the timer feature, and the buyers could make the most of it in the upcoming holiday season.

HDR: pictures are taken best if there is proper lighting in the room. Therefore, the HDR technology makes sure that the pics are always balanced no matter whether the pic is taken in extreme situations like too much light on a bright sunny day or too less in a dimly lit room.

Burst: capturing the perfect moment is not easy and can be done with the burst mode in Classic easily. If the user is unsure when the best moment will strike then they can take a stream of shots and pick the best from those.

Shutter Buttons: taking a photo on Classic is very easy as it comes with both a touch-screen and physical keyboard. Photos can be taken using touch-screen, spacebar, mute key or the trackpad.
