Billy Gilman, a country music star, spoke openly about his orientation in 2014: “In recent years, when I came back to Nashville, there were rumors and whispers, you know, ‘Is he, or isn’t he?’” This man said that he loves the industry but that him preferring men is not the best thing for his career. He continued by adding “So I thank you for your support, and I know some people won’t agree with this, and that’s OK, to each his own. But I felt it was time for me to be honest and to be truthful.”
