All these finds so far, especially the Spanish and British coins could suggest that the pirates visited the island in the late 1600s. However, if there is a treasure and the pirates hid it, we cannot confirm when that happened. One pirate that was famous back in the 1600s was Captain Kid, and his Skeleton Island looks like the Oak Island. It is the one which appears in the book Harold T. Wilkins wrote in 1935. Yes, we know we cannot base our theories on fiction, but the coins add at least some weight to it.
