All the information’s that we currently have indicates that the Google Nexus 7 Tablet will be launched on October 4th but at this point, we still do not know if it will be offered with Pixel 7 nameplate. At the event, we will also see the official introduction of Google Home, two new Pixel smartphones, and Daydream virtual reality platform.

Speculation started after we heard that Pixel and Pixel XL will be the new names for the devices that previously were launched under Nexus moniker. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if the new tablet would come with a different name in an effort from Google to complete its lineup for the market.

Tablet, similarly to the smartphones, will be produced by Huawei. This was sourced from well known and well-informed source, Evan Blass. According to him, we will see “Google’s Huawei-built 7-inch tablet”, meaning that the Nexus name might be dropped in favor of new one.

We are still far from any official information’s about the specs of new Google Nexus 7 Tabler or Pixel 7, whatever search engine giant decides to call it. What we could hear till now is that new gadget will bring the top of the line components under its hood. With 4 GB of RAM it will certainly be one of the most powerful currently available; on top of that, we might see Snapdragon 625 or 820 chipset.

The display is another thing that should be top of the line as it will bring a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Hardware will be upgraded, and that includes better cams, both front, and rear. At the back, the 13 MP shooter will be responsible for making great pics while at the front 5-megapixel unit is speculated. Nothing less than the latest Android Nougat is expected.

If we take a look at all previous Google devices, it is clear that those offered great specs at very competitive price, similar will be with Pixel 7 tablet. Even it’s unofficial we could hear that $258 price tag will be glued to it. On top of the fact that Google gadgets always had a great price to features ratio, we must add that Huawei is a company with quite competitively priced devices meaning that Google has a lot of room to play and beat every competitor easily in this segment.
