According to Huffington Post, Cena’s father took his son to WWF matches at Boston Garden and was a huge wrestling fan. However, he was not that interested in wrestling at first, and he was more interested in “proving himself on the baseball diamond or football field than in the wrestling ring,” the Huffington Post writes. Even though football was the sport he loved, Cena “was way too small” as he found that out in college.
