Outlander Season 4 Air Date and Latest News

Developed by Ronald D. Moore and produced by Sony Pictures Television, Outlander first aired in August 2014 on Starz. This science fiction drama is based on Diana Gabaldon’s novel series of the same name. It was well-received from the very beginning, so the second season followed soon, and then last year the third one was also confirmed. Outlander Season 3 is based on Gabaldon’s third novel of the series titled Voyager, and it is slated to air in September this year. Now, even though we are still waiting for the sequel, Starz network has decided to break the great news and confirm that the series will be renewed for Season 4, as well.

We know it’s quite unusual for a network to reveal such plans so early, but you shouldn’t be skeptical about this one, it has been officially confirmed that we should expect Outlander Season 4. According to some sources, Starz wanted to make sure the fans can relax knowing their favorite drama “is not going anywhere.”

Just like the previous three seasons, the new one will continue to follow the novel series of events, so it will be based on the fourth volume of the series, Drums of Autumn. We have also found out that they are planning to put one particular character in focus in Season 4 and that will be Rollo the Dog. There are still no more specific pieces of information, but at least we know who will receive special attention for now.
