Raiders Or Chiefs – Who Wins AFC West?

The Denver Broncos are now clearly out of the picture for the divisional title, and it has come down to the Chiefs and the Raiders. It seemed that the Kansas City Chiefs would win this division after handling Oakland in Week 14. Well, ten days in the NFL can make a big difference as things change quickly.

Kansas City was on fire as soon as their matchup with the Titans started, but then quickly cooled off and let Tennessee get back in the game and take the lead and the win in the final moments of the match. On the other hand, the Raiders struggled in San Diego but were able to hang of for a 19:16 win. Now, they are back at the top of the AFC West.

The question now is – who will win this division?

To answer that, we need to take a look at both of these team’s schedule, as well as to know what the rules are and what both squads need to do in order to finish at the top.

If both teams finish with the same record at the end of the season, Chiefs will win the AFC West. Raiders are now 11-3 while Kansas is sitting at 10-4. That means that Chiefs need the Raiders to slip up in one of the last two games.

Oakland will be facing the Colts next week that is in a must-win situation, but that match is at home and Raiders are the favorites. But, the last week of the season has them visiting the Broncos in Denver. That is going to be a tough duel for them.

On the other hand, we have the Chiefs that will host Denver next round and then visit the Chargers in the last game of the season. Not an easy schedule at all.

Actually, both of these schedules are pretty tough. We think that both of these teams could easily drop at least one of the final two games. Since the Raiders are in front right now and they are the ones that can afford to slip up if Kansas does the same, we are going to pick them to win this 2nd overall seed and the AFC West.
