The Rundown 2 – Dwayne Johnson And Jonah Hill – Directed By Peter Berg

All the way back in 2003 The Rundown was launched. Dwayne Johnson was a fast rising star, and Peter Berg was a director with few successful movies under his belt. With the addition of Seann William Scott, we received fantastic ingredients for a great movie and great movie we got.

Not long after the pretty successful movie we could hear rumors about a sequel but it was postponed many times. It seems that it is finally the time for us to get The Rundown 2. We could hear Peter Berg talking about this and that he would love to see Jonah Hill on set with the Rock and we agree that it might be a hilarious combination.

Again, the problem is that all major stars like Dwayne Johnson, Jonah Hill and Kevin Hart (that was also mentioned for this movie) are very busy with ongoing and already announced projects meaning it can be hard to put all the pieces together. Currently, Berg is working on two movies with Mark Wahlberg but as he stated he would be prepared to start new project almost immediately as soon as he gathers the right crew.

Here is what Peter Berg said: “We’ve been talking about it. You know, I wanted to do it with Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. If I could get Jonah Hill, I’d do it tomorrow. If I could get Dwayne and Jonah Hill, I’d do it tomorrow.” He also added “Anything’s possible. We want to do it, it’s just hard to get everybody, you know. It’s on our minds. We actually wrote a script. But I want Jonah Hill, so reach out to Jonah. Pressure Jonah to do it. If Jonah Hill would do it, I’m in.”

At this moment we do not have any details about the script and what will be in the movie. Certainly one of the possibilities is to see Dwayne Johnson and crew returning into the jungle but also it could offer the completely unrelated story to the original.

Enough positive pressure on actors through the social media certainly would cause them to think about these possibilities and to slightly more optimize their schedule and get the time to make The Rundown 2.

What do you think about the possible sequel? Would you watch it?
