Twitter Inc (TWTR) Gets A New Look To Match The iOS and Android apps

Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) is introducing an update to its website portraying the look and feel of iOS and Android apps. Some users have already updated the new look while others are yet to do so.

A tweet from its official account says, “At refreshed https://mobile.twitter.com/, personalize your profile w/ accent color: >web design. pic.twitter.com/y7r1a6jqxl.”

Twitter updates itself visually

With the update, users would be able to personalize the profile even more, and accent colours are included in the option, as well.

The navigation bar has a different color and style much similar to the patterns found in the mobile phones apps. Icons like Direct messages have also been updated. On the home screen of the Twitter, the profile picture and background will appear in the top left hand side, above the number of Tweets.

The update is primarily a visual one rather than in features as there were no new functions added in the Twitter.com, and services also remain unchanged. Twitter has made available this artistic update only to few users to examine the effect of new features and updates.

On its official website, Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) published the instructions of how to update the profile.

Price target raised

Analyst Heath Terry of Goldman Sachs increased the price target on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) to $65 from $46 and maintained a “Buy” rating on the stock noting increased efforts to drive user growth, engagement and an increase in monetization.

“While certainly the result of prior development, we believe this accelerating pace is more indicative of the company’s ongoing capabilities now that site stability issues have been resolved,” Terry wrote in the note.

In the fourth quarter, Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) unveiled 23 diverse products enhancement like direct messaging, TV trending, discovery, timelines and photos.  Many analysts have noted that around 80% of revenue for Twitter is contributed by advertising. However, Terry believes that major ad products of the company are in early stage, and areas such as targeting, retargeting and broad match would go through greater innovation, which in turn would increase the monetization of the company. Terry increased revenue and EBITDA estimate from 2013 to 2015 by 10% and 9%, respectively.
