Vince McMahon Upset With Jericho For Wrestling In New Japan?

WWE has always been the number one company. Even since the death of WCW, nobody had a shot at overtaking WWE for the number one spot in the wrestling business. That was their only rival, and it was back in the day when the name of the company was WWF. Since that time, there has been a true display of domination from the WWE.

They have nobody to push them now and to force them to make their shows the best possible. Vince knows that whatever product they put up, the fans are going to watch. Moneymaking is the most important to them even if that sacrifices the quality of the product.

There are a couple of promotions that are doing a quite nice job as of late. One of those that has been on the rise is New Japan Pro Wrestling. Some of the biggest stars in wrestling, like Kenny Omega, are wrestling there. Even AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura came to the WWE from Japan.

It is a fact that NJPW is more popular than ever. Still, they are no match for WWE, at least right now. Jericho, one of the stars that have been with the WWE for a long time, is for sure going to help attract new people to the NJPW with his appearance at the Wrestle Kingdom, which of course is not good for the WWE. Here is what Jericho said about McMahon’s feelings of him going over there to wrestle in this monster match with Kenny Omega.

“I know he wasn’t upset because I called him six weeks before and told him as soon as the deal was done. I would never surprise him like that. You know, I didn’t ask him for his permission, but I didn’t have to. I told him what was going on, and to be quite frank with you guys, he was super excited about it.”
