The scientists from Britain conducted a survey in 2012, and they used satellite technology in order to find and identify the colonies of Emperor penguins. What they managed to do is to discover new unvisited colonies and count every individual penguin. The scientists believe that there are now about 54 emperor penguin colonies in the Antarctic.
