2017 Jeep Compass in Brazil

If you follow the car industry news, especially latest releases, then you probably know that the new Jeep Compass for 2017 has been already spied and shown but under heavy camouflage. Now the praying lenses of spy photographers have caught, if I might add a very decent, glimpse of the new Jeep Compass and where else than in Brazil. Why Brazil you might ask? Apparently Jeep bosses “thought it was more appropriate” to launch it in Brazil, where according to them “it’s all going on track, no delays” as they stated for the CarAdvice earlier this year.

The Jeep Compass for 2017 is supposed to replace its, now very old and tired, first generation and its twin the Jeep Patriot which both debuted all the way back in 2006, except that Compass received a major facelift in 2011. If you wonder what they decided on the design front, I can tell you that 2017 Compass is leaning toward the big Grand Cherokee, at least when we take a look at its front segment. They both have Jeep’s iconic slotted grill but Compass is sticking to the more standard headlight design against Cherokee’s four-eyed look.

Based on the spy shots we can see that beneath the conical roof line 2017 Compass has squarish wheel arches, that look pretty awesome, and a belt line that sweeps up and give its all-around look a new dimension. The rear of the vehicle is a different story; it is featuring a pretty big D-pillars with a sloping rear window. Beneath it, we have a pair of taillights with smokey background and bold LED’s that very much resemble those on the Audi vehicles. Cabin look is very familiar with its dashboard that is sitting upright as always, and hosts separate A/C panel beneath the integrated display.

Since everybody is still waiting for technical details, it is presumed that the new Compass will ride on the architecture that is found on the smaller Renegade and Fiat 500X which is around 4230 mm long. That means it will find its place between the very long Cherokee and rugged and retro looking Renegade. It will be seen for the first time by broad masses at Sao Paolo motor show sometime in November 2016, and that is great news because it could be expected in LA motor show later that month as well.

My name is Miloš Kalajdžić and I come from Brčko DC in Bosnia. I was born on July 20 th 1988 and so far I obtained a BSc in economics and one year of working experience in my field of study. I am a very hard-working person who leaves nothing unfinished and halfway done. When I commit to something I give my best to make sure that everything is done the way as it is supposed to be. I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
