According to some previous reports, the kids in the movie play the Jumanji game where Kevin Hart, The Rock, Karen Gillan and Jack Black are avatars. Their characters will be named Moose Finbar, Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse and Professor Shelly Oberon respectively.

The original Jumanji movie was filmed in 1995 and it is based on a children’s book which was written in 1985 by Chris Van Allsburg. Both the book and the movie adaptation are about the magical board game that implements real flora and fauna when the game is played. Considering that, various dangers that appear in the game appear in real life too.

The 1995 adaptation was directed by Joe Johnston. The stars in the movie were late Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, Bradley Pierce, Kristen Dust and many others. The new Jumanji movie will be more of a sequel and the story will continue, as Johnson said.
