The Atieva Atvus will go on sale in the beginning of December this year and once it is launched it will be a bitter rival to Tesla Model S.

Recode was the first one to discover the first images of the Atieva and according to them, the vehicle is manufactured in an electric bike company in rural parts of China.

The car will be a five-door sedan whereas the front and rear overhangs will be short. Furthermore, we can see in the photo that the company decided not to include any visible door handles. In addition, the rear wheel has been covered a little bit, implying that the car will probably have great aerodynamics.

The car doesn’t have a traditional decklid, which is attractive to some, but repulsive to others. Instead of it, the Avtus will have a C-pillar so thick which goes all the way to the rear fascia.
It is strongly believed that the car will use 87 kWh battery pack. The powertrain will produce astonishing 900 hp and acceleration will easily match the one from the Model S top trim.

As Atieva deputy general manager in China, Zhang Xin told reporters, the car will contain two fully independent front and rear engines, which will help the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds.

Tesla Motors are certainly nervous because of the competition they are going to get from the Chinese rival. After the launch we will know more details, so stick around for more details.
