Cowboys Undrafted Rookie Free Agent CB Might Be The MVP Of Training Camp

We know how competitive draft and NFL are, and sometimes, it happens that great players go undrafted. At this moment it is still too early to say if rookie Charvarius Ward will get the place on the roster and if we will see him play in the regular season, but what we can tell so far is that this guy managed to impress many.

One of the things that most noticed is how he can adjust his body to break up the passes, and he can do this nicely even while in the air. Ward is 6-foot-1, 198 pounds allowing him to be quite fast which he proved when he successfully ran with Tavon Austin that is quite quick. He managed to prevent two pass completion in team drills, but the best one was the interception that came in one-on-one drills.

That interception was recorded when he was up against rookie receiver Michael Gallup, and he managed to keep pace with him on the right sideline. Long hands certainly helped him, and he was able to make an interception and remain on his feet, it looked awesome for an undrafted free agent CB.

Charvarius Ward managed to impress scouts at Middle Tennessee State’s pro day that was held in March. He was able to run 40-yard dash in 4.44, had a 37.5 vertical jump and 11-foot board jump. All this got him the invitation from Cowboys, and hopefully, this will be another gem and a great addition to the team.

What do you think about Charvarius Ward? Will he be able to get to the roster and could he stop some of the best WRs in the game? Check out these videos to see him play.
