As you probably already know, Deadpool 2 has been in production for quite some time now. The shooting started a couple of months ago, and everything was going well most of the time. Sadly, a few days ago, on Monday, a tragedy happened – one of the stuntwomen died on the set in a motorcycle accident.

Ryan Reynolds left a post on Twitter which says: “Today, we tragically lost a member of our crew while filming ‘Deadpool.’ We’re heartbroken, shocked and devastated … but recognize nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment. My heart pours out to them — along with each and every person she touched in this world.”

The stuntwoman was identified as Joi “SJ” Harris. As eyewitnesses claim, she lost control of her motorcycle and eventually crashed through the glass. According to WorkSafeBC, they have launched an investigation into the accident.

David Leitch, the director of the upcoming sequel, also expressed how devastated he was by the sad event. “I’m deeply saddened by the loss of one of our stunt performers today. No words can express how I and the rest of the ‘Deadpool 2’ crew feel about this tragedy. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones in this difficult time,” he said.
