Dwayne Johnson’s Daughter Simone Announced as the Golden Globe Ambassador

The 16-year-old daughter of Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Simone Johnson, is announced to be the 2018 Golden Globe Ambassador, at Catch LA on Wednesday, where a party was thrown for the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Golden Globe Awards by InStyle and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Scarlet, Sophia and Sistine, the daughters of Sylvester Stallone were previously in that role, which, as People magazine states, was called Miss Golden Globe. Simone and the Stallone daughters posed together for photographers at the event.

She is the daughter of Dwayne and his first wife, Dany Garcia. They were married from 1997 to 2007, and she is the manager of the big guy. Since they got a divorce, The Rock has been in a relationship with Lauren Hashian, and the two of them have a one-year-old daughter named Jasmine.

Scarlet (15), Sistine (19) and Sophia (21) are Sylvester Stallone’s daughters he had with Jennifer Flavin, his third wife. They’ve been married for over 20 years.

This is what Simone said about her newly assigned title: “I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in a household with strong role models and feel so honored to represent the HFPA for its 75th Anniversary.” She also added: “As the newly minted Golden Globe Ambassador, I hope to serve as a role model to young people everywhere and empower them to speak out on issues they are passionate about.”

The president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Meher Tatna made a comment herself on Wednesday, which is also when the name Miss Golden Globe was publicly changed into Golden Globe Ambassador.

“As we look forward to the 75th anniversary of the Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association members decided to expand this role to embody the HFPA’s philanthropic efforts year round,” she said. She also added: “The honoree will now be referred to as the Golden Globe Ambassador and we could not think of a better representative than Simone to carry on this tradition, as her values closely reflect everything the HFPA stands for.”
