Finn Balor Reveals Who Didn’t Support His Demon Character

The NXT has had a few champions now since the brand has been one of the biggest parts of the WWE for half a decade now. There have been a lot of guys that were at the top of the food chain in the NXT, but one that is always going to come to mind is Finn Balor. He just seemed like he was at the right place as he had the best gimmick and the best character down there. When you combine that with his in-ring skills, you get something that you don’t have a chance to see every day.

The Demon character is such a wise idea as it gives him that next level that he can go to in order to win the biggest matches. It is also easily marketable, the entrance with all that paint and lighting is great. That character alone and his entrance are a big draw alone. People are always going to pay the price of a ticket just to see the Demon King get to the ring and do his usual schtick.

Now, we can say that the idea behind this was good and that Balor has had a successful run with the company. But, before all of this, some people were skeptical, including one of the current WWE stars.

“Honestly, the first time the Demon came, and it wasn’t referred to as the Demon at that point – I just wanted to use body paint. The first time I did that, I said to my best friend Karl Anderson that I’m going to do this thing. I explained to him what I was doing, and he said, ‘Do not do that, you’re going to get laughed out of the building'”
