The NXT has had a few champions now since the brand has been one of the biggest parts of the WWE for half a decade now. People are always going to pay the price of a ticket just to see the Demon King get to the ring and do his usual schtick.

The first time I did that, I said to my best friend Karl Anderson that I’m going to do this thing. I explained to him what I was doing, and he said, ‘Do not do that, you’re going to get laughed out of the building'”
