The reigning, defending NFL champions the New England Patriots are going to begin their quest of defending that title against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette Stadium in Week 1 of the 2017 Preseason. The Jaguars are going to be looking to start of their preseason on a good note against the Patriots, but we wouldn’t be betting on that.

Tom Brady has just turned 40 years of age but he is showing no signs of slowing down. Even though he is fit to play, we don’t expect to see a lot of him in this game. Garoppolo and Brissett are going to see some action in this game, which is going to be exciting for the Patriots fans as they played a role in last season’s success that the Patriots enjoyed.

Also, Brandin Cooks is going to be something to watch in this game. A first round pick was required to acquire him from the Saints, but it looks like it is going to be worth. The fans were able to witness some amazing plays from him in the camp and we expect the same in this game as well. Gronk will also take the field, but he will be limited for sure.

The Jags underachieved last year. Getting better is what their preseason goal is. The personnel is there, but the performances need to be on point as well. We don’t think that they will have a great start to the season as they will have a very tough task against the Patriots. We are going to pick the Patriots offense to thrive in this game while the defense will be good enough to keep the Jags in check. The final score – 31:16 in favor of the champs.
