Mercedes made a yacht the world has never seen so far!

Well, this is something new! An automobile giant is trying to make something that goes on water, can it be?! Apparently yes! What we have here for you is a one of a kind Mercedes made yacht that is combining this company’s experience in auto design and luxury. The result is a yacht that looks right for a Bond villain, millionaire or a guy that wants to party on deck with models.

The said boat, referred to as “Silver Arrow of the Seas” by the Mercedes company, has its name and its Arrow460-Grandturismo and as the company explains it is combining the performance of sports cars with unique innovations from the boat industry. What you see on the pictures here has about the same proportions as a car which allowed Mercedes to bring the hallmarks of their automobile design on the water surface in what seems to be a very dynamic form.

The yacht can board 10 people at once and in order to offer them high luxury it is equipped with side windows which are retractable, the windscreen which can be raised as well allowing passengers to comfortably sit inside and at the same time enjoy an all-round view and the feel of being in the open. Wooden trim lines the interior, while its exterior is coated in a sparkly silver glaze that emphasizes the yacht’s sculptural and innovative character.

According to Mercedes, it is 47 feet long, it is propelled by two twin 480 HP engines which allow it to cruise at speeds of 30 knots. Gorden Wagener, Vice President Design Daimler AG said “In developing the new motor yacht, we have transferred our expertise to the marine industry, creating something never seen before in the process,” and added that “The “Silver Arrow of the Seas” stands for modern luxury, avant-garde style, and comfortable elegance. The yacht embodies the Mercedes-Benz’s progressive, dynamic design philosophy of sensual purity on the water.”

You probably do not know this but the Arrow460-Grandturismo was teased back in 2012, and it officially made its debut at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show. The expected shipping out of this yacht is expected in the second half of this year, which is just around the corner, but do not think you will easily get your hands on one of these. Mercedes decided to make only 10 yachts with a limit of 1 per country, and they put a hefty price tag on it – US$1.7 million.
