Monster Musume: Monsutā Musume no Iru Nichijō or Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls in English began its serialization as a manga in Monthly Comic Ryū magazine, written and illustrated by Okayado. In 2015, it was adapted into an anime series, which aired between July and September. Since then, fans have been waiting to hear something about the next season, assuming it will be delivered at some point if it is meant to follow Monster Musume manga, which is still ongoing.

Here’s what makes us believe that the anime Season 2 will come out. You might have missed it, but there is a possible hint in the last episode of the first part. If you pay attention to it, in one scene of this episode, you will notice the words “Niki Kettei,” which, translated into English, mean “Season 2 Decided”. However, there is also an “IF” above these words, which may suggest that this is only a possibility, but if we want to be optimistic, we might as well read this simply as “1F”, i.e. “first floor.”

Monster Musume Season 1 was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu was the scriptwriter. The rest of the crew included Takaya Sunagawa, who designed the characters, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi, the music composer. We hope they will gather again and make the sequel as successful as the first one.

As for the anime synopsis, here’s how MyAnimeList describes it: “Monsters—they’re real, and they want to date us! Three years ago, the world learned that harpies, centaurs, catgirls, and all manners of fabulous creatures are not merely fiction; they are flesh and blood—not to mention scale, feather, horn, and fang. Thanks to the “Cultural Exchange Between Species Act,” these once-mythical creatures have assimilated into society, or at least, they’re trying.”

Furthermore, they add: “When a hapless human named Kurusu Kimihito is inducted as a “volunteer” into the government exchange program, his world is turned upside down. A snake-like lamia named Miia comes to live with him, and it is Kurusu’s job to take care of her and make sure she integrates into his everyday life. Unfortunately for Kurusu, Miia is undeniably s*xy, and the law against interspecies breeding is very strict. Even worse, when a ravishing centaur girl and a flirtatious harpy move in, what’s a full-blooded young man with raging hormones to do?!”

Well, you’ll all agree the sequel to such story must be interesting. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope we will have an official announcement soon.
