New Nokia phone from Microsoft!?

Well, I think that this is one of those news that doesn’t come as striking to anybody! Microsoft pushing out another Nokia phone, what is next Arctic is cold!? Of course, they will do that what else?! Microsoft had its fair share of ups and downs; latest one was that with the company’s mobile restructuring last year when they were compelled to laid off thousands of employees because of the $7.6 billion write-offs from acquiring Nokia’s phone business. Yes, the Nokia’s Lumia and Windows Phone strategy didn’t pan out as planned and it was felt through a market decline, but what is probably going to pick them right up is the Nokia 216 and the feature phone business.

Apparently, Microsoft, earlier this year, announced $350 million sales of its feature phone business to FIH Mobile (Foxconn subsidiary), but despite that they are still continuing productions of new Nokia devices. As I previously mentioned the latest one is Nokia 216 which is going to be one of the basic phones that Microsoft manufactured, and it will be available in India first as of next month with a price around $37. The phone in question will feature 2.4-inch QVGA display, 0.3-megapixel both front and back camera, headphone jack and it will run on Series 30 OS with Opera Mini browser.

You don’t have to be a brilliant to understand why Microsoft is still doing this. Feature phone sales are still a multi-million dollar business, and Microsoft still sells that much of them every month. This is partially because of Microsoft company name and partially because of Nokia and its glory as the best phones manufacturer that ever existed. Nokia used to stand for something, and we believe that it still does. Will they get back to the top and regain its former glory with this device, no, not really, but it will certainly help out the fallen giant.

My name is Miloš Kalajdžić and I come from Brčko DC in Bosnia. I was born on July 20 th 1988 and so far I obtained a BSc in economics and one year of working experience in my field of study. I am a very hard-working person who leaves nothing unfinished and halfway done. When I commit to something I give my best to make sure that everything is done the way as it is supposed to be. I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
