Nissan Rogue Dogue Project – a pet friendly vehicle!

Apparently, Nissan does not only worry about transporting humans from point A to point B with utmost comfort, but it seems that they actually care about our furry little pets. They proved that with this Nissan Rogue Dogue Project which is constructed to make your pets just as safe and secure as you when traveling the open road.

As I already mentioned that task has been assigned to the Nissan Rogue Dogue – which is a purpose-built, dog-friendly vehicle and will debut on Wednesday at the 2017 New York Auto Show. But you probably wonder where Nissan got an idea for something like this. Well, it seems that the company made a survey with dog owners which showed that there is a serious oversight and lack when it comes to pets accommodation in vehicles. That is why Nissan decided to employ skills of Dennis McCarthy, the same man who built all those crazy machines for the “Fast and the Furious” franchise and let him work on their 2017 Rogue in order to prepare it for dogs and their owners as well. And no! Unfortunately, no NOS bottles will be making their way into the trunk of the 2017 Nissan Rogue.

Dennis actually made a lot of effort on this project and managed to fit the SUV with modifications that were seriously lacking such as a built-in clip harness, non-spill water dispenser, and a slide-away dog ramp. Thanks to the team-up between Nissan and McCarthy those shortcomings were turned into advantages and this Rogue was transformed in a real Rogue Dogue. But since they didn’t want to settle for only the aforementioned modifications in the Rogue Dogue Project you will also be able to find stuff like a dog shower with 10-gallon pressurized water reserve, integrated dog drying system, removable pet partition, and rear facing passive side view mirror cameras which will allow the driver to constantly keep a watchful eye on his bellowed four-legged friend.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Dogue Project will make an appearance on the N.Y. Auto Show, so if you can be sure to check it out, if not stay tuned as we will bring details from the show right here on our site!
