Novak Djokovic Participates at US Open

After Novak Djokovic had withdrawn from the Wimbledon quarterfinal, the best Serbian player faced a dilemma whether he would continue playing or finish the season. However, Novak Djokovic is among the players who will participate at the US Open this year, announced the officials of the last Grand Slam of the season.

Djokovic suffered an injury which forced him to surrender a match to Tomas Berdych in the Wimbledon quarter-final stage. He told the media that he was going on a long break, but his name is on the list of the US Open participants. The list also features the world number one Andy Murray, Spaniard Rafael Nadal and the Wimbledon champ and the best player in the history of tennis Roger Federer. Also, the audience will have a chance to watch the last year’s US Open winner Stan Wawrinka.

According to the US Open, this year’s tournament will host 99 best players from 39 countries all over the world. Meanwhile, seven of these 99 players have held a trophy at the US Open, and these players are Murray, Nadal, Djokovic, Federer, Wawrinka, Cilic and Juan Martin Del Potro.
