Tommaso Ciampa Returns During NXT Takeover Philly

It’s really hard to overshadow the Royal Rumble event during this huge weekend in WWE. But, NXT Takeover Philly was such a good show that we can say they made the best case possible for being better than the Rumble itself. All of the matches delivered and NXT hit a jackpot last night.

From the top to bottom, the show was great. Every single decision that NXT made was the right one. There are people who are sad that Johnny Gargano didn’t win the NXT Championship in the main event of the show. It means that NXT did the right job. They made the fans want Gargano to be the champion, which is only going to make his championship-winning moment even bigger.

The underdog will prevail in the end and we are going to have that babyface win that we want to see. It was a good booking decision.

The predictions were that Tomasso Ciampa was going to cost him the title. That didn’t happen as Andrade Cien Almas escaped with the win. We thought that the show was over after that and that we are not going to get Ciampa. Soon after, Tomasso showed up and destroyed his former partner, probably setting up a feud that is going to culminate during the NXT Takeover New Orleans event that will take place a day before Wrestlemania.

These two are perfect opponents for each other. This feud doesn’t need the title to make it great. Former partners are going to battle it out during NXT’s next big show. As for Almas, we don’t know who is going to be his next challenger. What we do know is that he is an amazing talent that is hopefully going to do well on the main roster.
