Randy Orton and his Royal Rumble success was probably something that most fans didn’t want to see. Orton is one of handful other wrestlers who really doesn’t need the victory in January showpiece in order to prove himself right for the main event, but hey, it did happen anyways. If you analyze this, you get to the calculation that it didn’t bring anything important. Viper captured the world title gold at WrestleMania, and his reign was cut short after someone decided that Jinder Mahal was the man to move forward with. The guy that fans wanted to see never made it and if you ask us this was the time WWE should have humored the fans, but no. The company had other plans which included the man who clearly wasn’t set for a particularly big 12 months anyway.
