Top 5 Wide Receivers In The NFL During Week 1

The season is still really young, but we are ready to rank our Top 5 wideouts considering their performances in Week 1.

5. Jordy Nelson

Packers’ star wideout looked really good in his return after tearing his ACL last summer. Green Bay’s offense struggled a bit without him last season, and he proved how vital he is to this squad. He didn’t put up mind-blowing numbers as he caught six passes for 32 yards and a TD. But, his 8-yard Touchdown catch was crucial. Aaron Rodgers looked comfortable in tough situations because he had his go-to guy.

4. Amari Cooper

After that Week 1 win over the Saints, we need to put him in our Top 5 as he showed that he will be a nightmare for opponents’ defenses all season long. His 137 receiving yards were enough to help his team get the W.

3. Larry Fitzgerald

Arizona wasn’t able to beat Brady-less and Gronk-less Patriots, but that certainly wasn’t Larry Fitzgerald’s fault. He was punishing New England’s defense all night long, and he showed that he will be their go-to man yet again this season. 81 receiving yards and two catches for a Touchdown were enough to convince us that he is still one of the NFL’s very best.

2. AJ Green

What this man did to one of the best NFL cornerbacks Darrelle Revis was simply amazing. Running circles around Revis island by destroying his defender for huge gains speaks just how good this man really is. 12 catches, 180 receiving yards and a TD against tough Jets’ defense. Highly impressive, no doubt about it.

1 Antonio Brown

Probably the best receiver in the NFL, at least currently, proved why no defender wants to see him on the field. Redskins defense had a long night trying to cover Brown as he was able to catch eight balls for 126 yards and 2 TDs. Bad day for Redskins’ defense and just another day in the office for Steelers own Antonio Brown.
