Toyota C-HR arrived to Japan dealerships!

Toyota is definitely in fifth gear, and how do we know this? Well, apparently right after the company’s Toyota C-HR hit the US market last month, Toyota decided to make it available in Japan’s dealerships as well.

As you already probably know, the C-HR rides upon the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, which is the same one used for the fourth generation Prius. This compact crossover offers four trims (S-T, G-T, S, and G) and the most likely starting price for the lower trim will be 2.516.400 yen, or $21,847. For this amount of money, everybody who decides to buy one will get its C-HR loaded with standard equipment such as keyless entry and push-button start, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, electric parking brake and the Toyota Safety Sense P assist package. Toyota made a lot of effort to accommodate everybody with this, because as it is a necessity these days, it is also a thing that brings the company’s rep higher with the current competitive surrounding.

If you decide to opt for the G-T or the G trim, which can be yours for just 2.775.600 or $24,097 and 2.905.200 or $25,222 respectively, you will get a whole bunch of equipment added to the standard version. These include 18-inch aluminum wheels, LED front fog lamps, high-quality fabric and leather seat surface, Blind Spot Monitor, front and rear parking assist sonar, and many others.

The powertrain options are limited to only two units which are more than enough for the most demanding of buyers. The first option is the 1.2 L turbo gasoline engine, which can achieve a fuel efficiency rating of 6.49 l/100 km or 36.24 mpg US. The other option is the hybrid powertrain, whose fuel efficiency is said to be one of the best among others in the compact crossover segment, with 3.31 l/100 km or 71.06 mpg US.

What is even better news regarding these powertrains is that the both are subjective to tax incentives for environmentally friendly vehicles, mostly because their emission levels turned out to be 75% lower than the 2005 Exhaust Emissions Standards. Neat ha?!

My name is Miloš Kalajdžić and I come from Brčko DC in Bosnia. I was born on July 20 th 1988 and so far I obtained a BSc in economics and one year of working experience in my field of study. I am a very hard-working person who leaves nothing unfinished and halfway done. When I commit to something I give my best to make sure that everything is done the way as it is supposed to be. I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
