Voltron Season 3 Release Date, News and Trailer

Voltron was a hit series in first two seasons, and we honestly expected its return. It was just a matter of time for us. Now, it is official – Voltron Legendary Defender Season 3 is coming back to Netflix this summer. Voltron’s presence will be heavily felt at San Diego Comic-Con this year because the third season premiere will be shown on Thursday, July 20th at 10:30 AM.

Nerdist posted a new photo which has been unveiled from the season 3 premiere episode, but there is also a new poster which will be given out at the panel.

Voltron Season 3 Trailer

The trailer of the Voltron appeared on the web, but it was quickly taken down. Luckily, we saw the trailer which featured Hunk and Lance who told the planet’s residents that they could no longer form Voltron. Furthermore, Lotor’s face was visible whereas Lance was piloting the Red Lion. However, we have no information whether we will see Keith and Allura in Black and Blue Lion respectively.

The video you can see below shows Lotor’s face like a cow, and it debuted at Wondercon as an April Fools joke. In the third season teaser, we couldn’t see Lotor’s face, but we heard his voice while Zarkon’s forces were taking out a civilization. Unfortunately, both the leaked trailer and this video were quickly removed, and they cannot be seen.

Voltron Season 3 Release Date

The leaked trailer indicated that Voltron is returning on August 4th this summer. Furthermore, we know that the show has a 78-episode commitment to Netflix which means that we will see at least six seasons of Voltron. This is great because we don’t have to fear that the show can get canceled every day and this can only help the writers set the story in the right way and execute their ideas properly.
