WWE news – John Cena says that calling The Rock a part-timer was “The stupidest stuff ever”!

As it goes in life people are often judgmental and criticize what they do not know and understand. Then life gets involved, and the tables get turned, and what was once criticized is now embraced. This is exactly the same thing that describes the relationship between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena. We could hear Cena, some time ago, mocked when “The Rock” “sold out” to the Hollywood, but now he is forced to eat his own words.

As you all already know, ever since 2002 “The Rock” has spent a lot of time on the sets, starring in 35 movies and winning many awards in the process. Fans were not up for this initially, because other WWE stars such as Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, and Andre the Giant tried their luck in Hollywood, but they all kept to professional wrestling also. Now it is a lot different because WWE Studios give the opportunity to people such as Randy Orton, The Miz, Kane, and Dean Ambrose to try themselves in acting.

But Dwayne made a game changer move here. He didn’t just become successful in acting, he shot through the roof and became a cinema superstar. This year was particularly “good” for Johnson because he was the highest paid actor, “Movie Person of the Year” according to USA Today, and was also voted hottest man alive by People. Thanks to all of these achievements Cena now sees that a former WWE star can do even better outside the company. Cena acknowledged this in the latest episode of Talking Smack, and when he was asked by JBL how does he feel about his comments and his feud with “The Rock,” he responded very surprisingly.

“I consider what I said then to be to stupidest stuff ever. I was looking at it through very blinded eyes, and I really wanted The Rock to come back to the WWE. And I figure that hitting him where it hurts would get him back to the WWE, and it worked. But I’ve apologized to him in person, I’m on the Web for the world to see. I was wrong. He was right. He’s now the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, he has transcended this business, and I think anytime a superstar can give what he’s given to the WWE and then transcend the WWE, that’s good for all of us”.

But Cena made interesting move lately as well. He returned on the latest episode of SmackDown Live which allowed him to insert himself in the WWE Championship picture by automatically becoming the No. 1 contender for the title. Cena did all of that without any approval from Daniel Bryan or Shane McMahon, and his reasoning behind this decision? Well, he’s John Cena! And on top of all that it will be rather interesting to see just how long will he remain as a full-time competitor for the company. Some of his latest achievements include hosting ESPN’s ESPY Awards, hosting the Teen Choice Awards, launching the American Grit television series, and being scheduled to appear in movies that will be released in 2017.

In his latest blog post, Jim Ross made a statement which says that Cena will probably never be a full-time competitor again, he is on the same road as “The Rock” – becoming an actor. Ross believes that Cena will always stay loyal to the WWE because of everything that the company has done for him. Jim actually does not blame Cena for transitioning to acting – “I know of no wrestler with reasonable sanity that would not trade the bumping and the road schedule, etc for the life of a TV or movie personality. Would you? I didn’t think so”.

By all pointers Cena is preparing himself for a transition to Hollywood and the said transition will likely occur sometime in early 2017. These might be his last days as a WWE full-time competitor.
