2017 Ford GT Caught Testing – First Spy Photos of Production Model

Ford GT debuted in 2015 as a concept, and it was one of those cars that left everybody speechless. Shortly after Detroit Auto Show on which GT was presented Ford announced that this concept would enter production by the end of the same year. The total amount of copies that will exit Ford’s factory is 500. Throughout the year 250 copies are being made. First installments will be delivered to its lucky owners by the end of current year. Others who are lower on the waiting list will have to wait a bit longer for theirs. Wait will certainly be worth it but what about those that are not on the list of 500 luckiest? Well, according to Ford possibility exists that there will be additional 500 models built but that remains to be seen.

What made us write this article is one of the signs that the wait is getting close to being over. First spy photos of Ford’s GT have been taken, and the supercar was fully in its production form. It was spotted on the road near Dearborn, Michigan. With deliveries expected to start before the end of this year Ford GT’s future owners must be happy that their GT is being prepared and that the company is conducting final tests.

More good news for all of us auto-enthusiast is that final version is almost identical to 2015 concept. The model that was spotted had a large rear spoiler and carbon fiber wheels. Both of these features are assumed to be optional.

If you haven’t heard it before, new 2017 Ford GT will come with a price of $398,000 which will make it Lamborghini Aventador’s direct rival. For this price tag, you will get 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine capable of delivering 600 horsepower.
