2017 Honda Civic – Six-speed Manual is added to the Turbo Lineup

2017 Honda Civic Coupe and Sedan versions will now be available to customers with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Civic Sedan and Coupe in EX-T trim, that have 1.5-liter turbocharged unit will be equipped with the new 6-speed manual. The starting price for Sedan will be $18,740 whereas Coupe will cost $19,150.

In addition, In EX-T trim, two models combined a 1.5-liter turbocharged DOHC engine with the sporty 6-speed manual. The engine is rated at 174 hp and 167 lb-ft (226 Nm) of torque. On the other hand, the models with CVT transmission are good for 162 lb-ft of torque.

CVT transmission is a standard on EX-L and Touring trims, but it is optional for EX-T trims with turbocharged engines. Additional innovations for the Civic EX Sedans are XM Satellite Radio and HD Radio.

The senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division, Jeff Conrad, declared:”This has been a tremendous year for Civic, starting with the Sedan and Coupe setting sales records and leading the compact segment.
