BREAKING: With No19 Draft Pick Dallas Cowboys Select Boise State LB!

One of the most significant sports events in the United States at this time of the year is NFL Draft. Yes, the NBA playoffs are on, but only at the beginning phase, so NFL Draft has the prime. This event has the focus of America’s sports on it. This years edition is the 83rd annual meeting of football franchises where they select new players eligible to enter the league. The first pick in the draft was Heisman Trophy winner quarterback Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma selected by Cleveland Browns. Before Cowboys No19 pick, two of their NFC East rivals had a chance to choose. At number 4 New York Giants selected Saquon Barkley. After Cowboys picked up Ezekiel Elliott as a No4 pick in 2016, another NFC East drafts an RB high in the lottery. Washington Redskins added defensive tackle Da’Ron Payne with pick no13. But here, we are going to talk about Dallas Cowboy’s No19 Pick. America’s Team decided to go with Boise State linebacker Leighton Vander Esch.

Vander Esch played at Boise State since 2014 to 2017. During his junior year, he was named Mountain West Defensive Player Of The Year. In 2017 he recorded 141 tackles, four sacks, and two interceptions. He is regarded as one of the most versatile linebackers in the draft.

This draft class is rich in signal callers, and in the first round before Cowboys turn came on the clock four of them were selected. Browns (Mayfield), Jets (Darnold), Bills (Allen), Cardinals (Rosen) will be hoping that their picks will turn their fortunes around for the foreseeable future.

Big D franchise at the same time is set at the position with Dak Prescott. With the best O-line in football and Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield, they will be hoping that the addition of Boise State linebacker Leighton Vander Esch in the first round will be enough to push them to the postseason.
