Dwayne Johnson Gives Custom Pickup Truck To His Stunt Double

We all know Dwayne The Rock Johnson as a giving guy, and once more he showed how generous he can be. Johnson decided to give a new custom pickup truck to his stunt double Tanoai Reed, and it is hard to describe how surprised the guy was.

When most of your movies are action flicks in which you get to fight other people, and you are often on the receiving end like in the case of Dwayne Johnson, you definitely learn to appreciate what stunt double does. The Rock came up with a way to thank his “uso” (brother) for all the hard work.

In a post that Johnson shared on Instagram, we can see the two making a video about their cooperation and it seems like an ordinary behind the scenes clip. In the background we can notice a big SUV and soon after they start talking, SUV moves and unveils a custom pickup truck with a huge red bow on the bonnet.

Dwayne starts talking how Tanoai was great and that it has been an honor to work with him. After this, he turns around and points to the truck he has prepared for him. Tanoai was surprised, and you can check it out in this video:

SURPRISE! I love handing over keys🔑🎁 I love you brother and enjoy your new truck! Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed @samoanstuntman has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments & just been an overall dominating bad ass achieving several “Stuntman of the Year” honors. All done with one goal in mind – deliver the best movie possible to the world. I had this custom pick up truck delivered just in time to surprise him (he’s still recovering from a stunt injury) while we give what he thought was going to be an interview about our careers together. As you’ll see the moment I put my hands on my hips, that’s the drivers cue to pull away and reveal the big surprise. Not only does Tanoai represent our family and my career with relentless commitment and passion. He also represents an entire Hollywood stunt community that is truly the backbone of our business. Love you uso and thank you for the blood, sweat, tears and years. We’re just getting started. Enjoy your new truck! #LetsRoll 🤟🏾

In the end, we can see the two in a warm hug which clearly shows how much these guys love and respect each other. We could watch Tanoai on projects like Furious 7, San Andreas, Hercules, Scorpion King, Rampage, etc. We are sure that they will continue their fruitful cooperation and knowing at how insane pace Dwayne Johnson is working, Tanoai will have a lot more chances to show up on the big screen.

Currently, The Rock is promoting his latest action flick Skyscraper and is preparing to start the Jungle Cruise which is one of his next releases.
