After their starting quarterback, Carson Wentz got injured, Eagles are left with a decision to make. The matter in question is whether will they let their backup QB Nick Foles lead the team, or will they seek help from the free agent market?

In one word, Wentz was phenomenal this year. He led the Philly crew to 11-2 score, which clinched the NFC East division for them. But, Wentz was injured during the match against Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. One day later, on Monday, Eagles have confirmed that he has torn his ACL and that he is out for the remainder of the season. After news broke out, speculations started immediately.

Dianna Russini even tweeted on Monday that Philadelphia Eagles should consider signing Tony Romo who is currently a free agent and is enjoying a bright start to his broadcasting career. She tweeted the following: “How many weeks of watching Nick Foles before Philly realizes they should convince the prematurely retired @tonyromo to come out of the booth. The veteran knows the NFC, the Eagles have a great running game and defense, and here’s Romo chance to win a Super Bowl.”

And, she wasn’t the only one thinking about this possibility. Jon Machota of Dallas Morning News asked the following question: “How would you feel about Tony Romo coming out of retirement and winning a Super Bowl with the Eagles?”

Dan Le Batard said: ” #poll Is Tony Romo falling out of the sky in a squirrel suit better than Nick Foles? -Garemy.”

Jeff Eisenband addressed Eagles fans and said that they could choose between Kaepernick and Romo.

This is not the first time that reporters and fans called for Romo to come out of retirement. The first time this season, when this happened, was after Aaron Rodgers was injured. The second time was after Dak Prescott had a crisis, and Cowboys had a 0-3 streak. Fans wanted for Tony to take back the job that Prescott took from him the year before. The third time could be the charm if Eagles head honchos decide to call for Romo’s services.

John Clark who is an NBC Reporter for Philadelphia has talked to Eagles fans. According to him, some fans are happy having Nick Foles managing the games. Other would have Kaepernick as their QB. And, the third group said that they would have former Dallas Cowboys franchise QB over those two any day of the week.

While this would be a controversial decision, signing former superstar QB of their arch-rivals would put a final nail in Cowboys coffin this season. Romo certainly has the quality to lead this team to Super Bowl. And, wouldn’t it be an icing on the cake for Romo to win the evasive Lombardi Trophy with Cowboys rivals, after the Dallas hierarchy easily decided to let him go when Prescott surfaced as their future QB.

What do you say, will Romo exit retirement (NOTE: He’s not officially retired!) to lead the Eagles in the postseason?!
