Lotus Evora Sport 410 in the US markets next summer!

Some of you probably are informed and know that the latest venture from Lotus the Evora Sport 410 is already on sale in Europe as well as other markets. We are here to gladly inform you that it is finally going to reach the US markets in the summer of 2017!

The Evora Sport 410 on its international debut in Geneva earlier this year was showcased as one of the most extreme and lightest versions of the Evora ever built. The reason for that is the fact that it is 70 kg (154 lbs) lighter than the regular Evora 400, and its badge 410 also shows that it is 10 HP stronger than the standard version. The Evora 410 makes maximum use of those 10 HP more and offers 0-100 km/h (0-62 MPH) sprint time of 4.1 seconds with automatic transmission and 4.2 with a manual one.

Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales gave a statement which says “Lotus has surpassed itself with the Evora Sport 410, and it defines a period in which we are producing our best ever cars”. He also added that “It can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 secs, and its ballistic pace means that, in the right hands, it’s unbeatable. We have achieved so much in the development of the Evora platform, and the Sport 410 is possibly the most accomplished car we have ever built. It’s nothing short of superb, and delivers the power and precision that Lotus cars are renowned for. We’ve taken the war on weight to a new level, demonstrating perfectly our principle of intelligent engineering”. Lotus also revealed one other feature which will make the future, as well as current, Lotus customers happy and that is the ability to personalize the Evora Sport 410 through the popular Lotus Exclusive program combining British craftsmanship with modern design and new tech.

To achieve all of this Lotus had to cut a lot of weight from the car, and that is the main reason why Evora 410 has 2+0 seating arrangement and features Alcantara-trimmed carbon fiber sports seats as standard. If the customer expresses a need for iPod connectivity and Bluetooth functionality, the touch-screen entertainment system can also be specified and installed. To add upon weight saving regime Lotus made sure that Alcantara one-piece door trim panels without door armrests and storage pockets find their way inside the car. What is interesting is that there are no info about where the tailgate and fuel filler release buttons will be placed, as well as where the currently missing speakers will be positioned if the said infotainment unit is added as an option inside.

Since this is a sport performance vehicle, we will put those little things aside, and just not worry about them because for a car like this they are more than unimportant. What is important on the other hand is the pricing of the Evora 410 which is set to £82,000 in the UK, €108,500 in Germany and ¥15,000,000 in Japan.
