The Miz Shares His Feelings About His Wrestlemania 27 Main Event

The Miz has always had a lot of potential in the WWE. If he just waited a couple of more years to show up on the main roster, he would have been one of the top babyfaces in the company no doubt. He had that look of a cool guy, somebody that you naturally want to cheer for. But, since he entered the company when it was still the land of the giants, he needed to be the cowardly heel that takes all the shortcuts possible.

He won the title by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract, another classic heel tactic. That propelled him to the main event of the biggest show of the year, something that every wrestler dreams about. Whether or not he was supposed to be there it really doesn’t matter, he fulfilled his dreams on that night at Wrestlemania 27. A couple of years later, he reflected on the event itself and what he remembers the most.

“The coolest moment about being in that ring in the main event WresteMania wasn’t my entrance, it wasn’t even holding the title in my hand, I don’t really remember that. The coolest moment was looking over to my left and seeing all my friends from high school that was in my living room in 1999 watching WrestleMania. Looking over at them in the front row and saying, ‘We did it.'”

This year’s Wrestlemania was the perfect example of the fact that The Miz is right now doing the best work of his career when he was cheered while giving the business to John Cena. The crowd just went nuts for him, and he definitely deserved something like that. He has elevated his work on Smackdown Live, and the fans are full of hope that they can see more of that on Raw.
