When many people didn’t expect them to make the Playoffs last year, the Dallas Cowboys were able to have one of their best years in recent memory. With the 13-3 record, they were able to grab the number one overall seed in the conference while they were also one of the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl. But, a bad start against the Packers cost them a lot in the end.

The core players that made it possible for the ‘Boys to win 13 games in 2016 is back and is ready to get at it yet again this year. Now, the Dallas Cowboys won’t be able to surprise anybody as they are now going to have a target on their back. It’s hard to be good in the NFL on a consistent basis, so this team will have a tough task of repeating the play from a season ago.

Pro Football Focus has them ranked 2nd in 2017 as they are predicting that the Dallas Cowboys will finish the season with the record of 10 wins and 6 losses. The only team that is above them are the NFC champions, the Atlanta Falcons. They have been given 12 wins in 2016, and they are the number one seed.

Even though Dallas might be just as good as Atlanta on paper, it is still a good sign that they are picked to have a better season than teams like the Green Bay Packers or the Seattle Seahawks, squads that are in the Super Bowl conversation each and every season. It’s going to be interesting to see how all of this plays out through this campaign.
