Samsung Galaxy S8 Won’t Be Revealed Until April?

The release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 may be postponed, according to the report. The new Galaxy S8 is supposed to be launched next year, but after what happened to the Galaxy Note 7 the company doesn’t want to rush with the new model. They want to make sure that the S8 is perfect once it hits the global market.

So far, the South Korean giant has unveiled its flagship Galaxy S devices in February. They have always wanted to make sure that the phone was out before the annual Mobile World Congress trade show. Well, next year we might not see the new phone before April.

In order to switch the focus of the public from the fiasco with the Note 7, the company has already confirmed one of the new features which will be available on S8. Namely, Samsung will add a personal assistant feature in order to compete with Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa service. The new feature will be based on a technology called Viv, which Samsung acquired recently.

The new assistant feature will be accessible to the customers at all times and it will be turned on with a button, as The Wall Street Journal states. They wrote: “The latest internal prototypes of the premium Galaxy S8 handset include a button on the side edge of the smartphone that would be used to launch a beefed-up virtual assistant.” However, the design has not been finished yet, so the button may not be there after all.

Once the company confirms the date of the Galaxy S8 introduction, we will let you know.
