Vin Diesel To Reunite Fast & Furious Family

Dom and Mia Toretto are some of the main characters of the Fast and Furious franchise, and we know how close they and other stars of the movie series have become. The image that we can see was taken by Diesel while filming his next project.

That is not all as on the photo we can also see Justin Lin, director of some of the previous installments of the F&F. These include Tokyo Drift (2006), Fast & Furious (2009), Fast Five (2011) and Fast & Furious 6 (2013). It is interesting to add that the picture was captioned by Diesel who wrote: “On the road back to our roots… Family reunited.”

We have witnessed all the fuss about the next title in the series, and as a result, its release date needed to be moved from 2019 to 2024. While on set, Vin started a live video on his Facebook account in which we could see Brewster that came to greet the fans. The star of the franchise also decided to use this opportunity and to say that Justin Lin is returning to the family and that he will be directing the next movie.

On the road back to our roots… Family reunited!

Here is what Dom said in the video: “Justin Lin is so old school, he’s so part of the DNA of the Fast mythology, that while we’re on set today, the one person he wanted to be here immediately, just as he started to feel that sense of Dom, that sense of Toretto, that sense of the Fast and Furious universe and the responsibility of that… he wanted someone who is a part of the brotherhood, when you go past gender. He wanted someone very important to be here, and it’s someone you all have been asking for.”

He continued by adding “This is so exciting…. There’s nobody more Torretto than my sister, Jordana Brewster, who is Mia Torretto. And those of you who know the franchise know how much of a badass she is.”

For those of you who do not know, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) are brother and sister in the movies we had the chance to watch. Mia is also a wife of Brian O’Conner (late Paul Walker), and she wasn’t involved in the last part, but looking at this image and video, things could change with FF9.
