Liverpool came agonizingly close to a Premier League title victory last season, losing out by just a point to title rivals Manchester City. They did pick up the Champions League title, so expectations were high that they could finally land the Premier League this season and their first top-flight title since back in 1990. Liverpool has made a flying start to the current campaign and has been well supported by punters using the points-bonus-code.com.au that are on offer, which now sees them as the favorites for the title having started behind Manchester City in the markets pre-season.

Following the opening ten matches played, Liverpool has picked up 28 points from a possible 30 and has a six-point lead over Manchester City, with a further two ahead of both Leicester City and Chelsea. They are now in a very strong position, and the title now appears there’s to lose.

Liverpool started the season at Anfield with an impressive 4-1 home victory against newly-promoted Norwich City. Following a UEFA Super Cup victory over Chelsea, they then followed this up by winning 2-1 away victory at Southampton at St Mary’s. This included goals from Sadio Mane and Robert Firmino in an overall dominating display.

Liverpool then welcomed Arsenal at Anfield in what was expected to be one of the first major tests in the Premier League. This was far from the case as they dominated over 90 minutes on their way to a 3-1 victory. This included a brace from Mohamed Salah. They then picked up another three points with a 3-0 away victory at Burnley, as both Mane and Firmino again got on the scoresheet.

Next up was Newcastle at Anfield and another 3-1 victory as Mane continued his remarkable form, picking up a brace for the side in the first half. The side was then beaten in the opening game of their defense of the Champions League away at Napoli but responded with a 2-1 away victory at Chelsea in the Premier League.

A-League cup victory followed before Liverpool then picked up a further three points in a hugely difficult fixture away at Sheffield United. The game appeared to be heading for a stalemate before a goalie error led to a Georginio Wijnaldum goal and a 1-0 Liverpool win. The reds then got their first points in the Champions’ League group stages with a 4-3 home victory over Red Bull Salzburg. This was despite taking a 3-0 lead before the visitors posted a fightback, drawing level in the 60th minute before Salah netted the winner in the 69th minute.

Another huge test followed as Liverpool welcomed a resurgent Leicester City side to Anfield. The game appeared to be heading for a 1-1 draw before Liverpool were awarded a penalty in the 95th minute. This was scored by Milner as Liverpool secured the maximum points in the final kick of the game. A tough result to take for Leicester, who themselves have made a flying start to the season.

Liverpool then dropped their first and only points of the current Premier League season with a 1-1 away draw at Manchester United. It appeared this would be the first loss of the season before Adam Lallana picked up the equalizer in the 85th minute. They then secured a further three points in the Champions League with an easy 4-1 away win at Genk. This set Liverpool up with another tough test as they welcomed Tottenham to Anfield. The visitors got off to a flying start, as Kane netted the opener in the first minute. However, Liverpool responded with a dominating display and was able to score twice in the second half to take maximum points.

Liverpool continues its remarkable start to the current campaign, and it all leads to a huge match up with Manchester City on the 10th of November.
